The Trump administration has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to lift a temporary injunction blocking the deportation of 176 Venezuelan migrants detained in Texas under the Alien Enemies Act. The government cited safety concerns, alleging some detainees engaged in violent misconduct at detention facilities. Solicitor General D. John Sauer argued that the migrants pose a danger and have had adequate opportunity to file legal challenges. The administration also indicated plans to pursue deportation through other legal channels if the injunction remains.
